My TPACK Journey

My TPACK Journey:

       This is my ebook that I created to showcase my TPACK journey and skills. I learned how to use various tools and technologies such as Slide Rocket which was completely new to me. Some of the tasks and creation of these pages were challenging because I am not that technologically inclined and it was difficult to master some of the skills or even understand how to do or create certain things.
       By creating an ebook, I learned that you can incorporate technology in the classroom as a teaching tool which can help students become guides for their own learning. Using activity types and collaborative project-based learning can help develop a multitude of technological skills. I learned that this activity type is beneficial and it can be used by students in the classroom and also as a teacher to communicate information to parents and students  Students are not only learning how to use the technology but also learning through the technology. As a teacher, I learned that you can get students to create their own ebooks in the classroom in many different subject areas, however students need to learn the pragmatics behind the technology tool being used. As a teacher I would first give students a basic overview of the tool and also show them an example of an ebook. This can be a fun teaching tool as well as make presentations come to life in the classroom.
